Samuel drives Scandit’s vision and strategy and has led its growth since 2009 to become the global leader in smart data capture. Under his leadership, Scandit has developed and brought to market a broad portfolio of smart data capture solutions that empower frontline workers and innovate customer experiences by making it possible to capture barcodes, text, objects and IDs using smartphones and other mobile devices. Headquartered in Zurich and serving over 2,000 customers with a global team of employees across 18 countries, Scandit works with many of the world’s largest enterprises across retail, logistics, transportation and other industries.

As an experienced global tech entrepreneur, innovator and thought leader on smart data capture, computer vision and AI, he regularly speaks at business, tech and industry conferences around the world. Prior to Scandit, Samuel was a consultant and project leader for global companies such as Swiss Airlines and Swiss Re, as well as a corporate researcher at the renowned IBM Zurich Research Lab, where he was awarded three IBM Invention Achievement Awards and an IBM Research Division Award.

Samuel holds a PhD from ETH Zurich and graduated summa cum laude with an MSc in Computer Science and an MA in Financial Economics, both from the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He has authored numerous patent applications and published his research results in leading conferences and journals.

As CTO and VP Product, Scandit co-founder Christian Floerkemeier is responsible for Scandit’s product strategy and roadmap and is the technical lead behind Scandit’s patented Barcode Scanner technology.

Before founding Scandit, Christian was the Associate Director of the Auto-ID Lab at MIT and a member of the MIT research team that developed the RFID technology which is today in use in major supply chains. Christian also co-founded Fosstrak, the leading open-source RFID software platform that implements the EPC Network specification. He was the technical program chair of the Internet of Things Conference in 2008 and IEEE RFID 2009 and general chair of IEEE RFID 2011.

Christian received a PhD in Computer Science from ETH Zurich and a Bachelor and MEng degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cambridge.

As CIO and VP Engineering, Scandit co-founder Christof Roduner is responsible for the software development activities at Scandit. Christof leads an organization of highly skilled software engineers and researchers that build Scandit’s products and services.

Before founding Scandit, Christof was a researcher at ETH Zurich and MIT, where he worked on Internet of Things-related projects with industry partners such as Deutsche Telekom, Nokia, NTT DoCoMo and SAP. Prior to his career in research, Christof founded a company that built and marketed a CRM system, and later headed the Internet business at a Zurich-based IT company.

Christof also co-founded Fosstrak, the leading open-source RFID software platform that implements the EPC Network specification and is used in RFID projects at Orange/FranceTelecom, SAP, TCS and many others.

Christof studied Computer Science and Business Administration at the University of Zurich and the University of Uppsala. He holds a PhD from ETH Zurich and an MSc from the University of Zurich (both in Computer Science) and has a passion for building great teams and great technical infrastructures.

Uwe is responsible for Finance at Scandit, bringing with him more than 10 years of experience in financial management and strategic development of high-growth technology businesses.

Before joining Scandit, Uwe served as a Managing Director of Fision, a Zurich-based SaaS startup company, where he led the build-up of commercial operations and the company’s market entry. Prior to that Uwe worked as a venture and growth capital investor for different asset management firms. In this role, he invested and managed more than $100m in equity investments across a portfolio of European technology companies, served as a board member and observer, and accompanied various trade sales and IPOs.

Uwe holds a joint masters’ degree in Computer Science and Business Administration from Technical University of Darmstadt.

Natasha Sandoval is the CMO at Scandit. Prior to Scandit, Natasha’s 15+ years in the IT industry include senior marketing roles in the global and EMEA organizations at Compaq, HP and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, ranging from product and channel marketing to running global campaigns and leading thought leadership and demand generation programs.

Natasha’s innovative approach to marketing has earned her internal and industry recognition – she is the recipient of HP’s Most Valuable Player award and the British Media Awards finalist in the 2014 Commercial Campaign of the Year category.

Natasha holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Anja Kuhn is the Chief People Officer at Scandit. With 25 years of global HR leadership experience in international private equity and public companies, including Sportradar AG and Activision Blizzard, Anja has a proven track record in championing talent development, managing complex people initiatives, M&A and IPO preparation while nurturing company cultures, which will be invaluable as Scandit continues to scale. She has successfully led global People & Workplace Experience teams with her visionary and strategic approach to building and scaling people functions.

Anja is known for her people-centric approach and commitment to creating environments where employees thrive. Her passion for coaching, mentoring and empowering people, combined with getting things done, aligns perfectly with Scandit’s values.

Anja holds a diploma in business administration from DHBW in Germany.

Chris is Scandit’s Head of Sales where he is responsible for developing the business through direct and indirect channels. Previously, Chris led Scandit’s North American sales.

Prior to joining Scandit, Chris was Vice President of Retail at OneMarket. With over 20 years experience, he has also held senior sales and sales leadership roles at SkyWord, ReachLocal and CBS.

Chris holds a degree in Business from Norwich University in Vermont.

Niklaus Brühlmann is the Chief of Staff and VP of Strategy and Monetization at Scandit. With 10 years of experience in the technology industry, he has helped companies evolve from startups to established businesses.

Prior to joining Scandit, Niklaus served as the Country Director at Knip AG, where he led market expansion and all commercial operations in Switzerland. He started his career in strategy consulting.

Niklaus holds a Master’s degree in Business Management from the University of Zurich and has also studied at Tsinghua University, Fudan University, and INSEAD.

As VP of Enterprise Success, Felix Stieger is responsible for Scandit’s Solutions Consulting, Customer Success, and Customer Support teams to ensure Scandit’s clients achieve their digital transformation goals, maximize value from smart data capture technologies, and receive exceptional support throughout their journey.

Throughout his career, Felix has held various leadership roles in both multinational corporations and high-growth startups. A key highlight of his career was the successful establishment and scaling of operations in Asia Pacific for Hybris, where he drove regional growth, enhanced customer satisfaction, and played a pivotal role in the startup’s successful exit. Before joining Scandit, Felix’s most recent role at SAP involved directing the Presales Organization for the Middle and Eastern Europe region which included SAP’s complete range of solutions and industry offerings. In this capacity, he gained critical insights into the retail and transportation & logistics fields, while developing and executing organizational strategies and go-to-market planning.

Felix holds a Master’s degree in Management, Technology, and Economics, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from ETH Zurich.
